Starting from October 23, 2013: Jiangsu TV HD channel will change its audio encoding from MPEG-1 L2 to AC3. If operators using the Harley system encounter issues with audio processing, please go to the NMX network management system and change the stream type of Jiangsu TV's audio attributes in the input source to DVB-AC3. Additionally, add the DVB-AC3 audio descriptor to the audio of the output program; all other reception parameters remain unchanged. The steps are as follows:
- In the NMX network management system, access the Network Group of the multiplexer where Jiangsu Satellite TV's HD programs are located within the Digital Service Manager. Right-click on New Service Configuration below it and select Edit Service Configuration.
- In the newly popped-up menu box, locate the TS stream for Jiangsu Satellite TV HD channel in the left input box. Right-click on Audio below that program and select properties. In the newly popped-up properties menu, find the stream type menu.
- Change the option before the Stream type menu from Mpeg-1 L2 to DVB-AC3 and submit.
- In the output box on the right side of Edit Service Configuration, locate the TS stream for Jiangsu Satellite TV HD channel. Right-click on the Audio of that program, select Add system descriptor, and in the newly popped-up window, choose to add the DVB-AC3 audio descriptor, then submit the parameters.
- 1. Return to the initial interface, right-click on New Service Configuration, and select rebuild PSI—either all or changed only is acceptable.
