The Harri ViBE® CP3000 (formerly known as Ellipse® 3000) is the industry's most cost-effective acquisition encoder suitable for high-end Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) and live sports broadcasting applications. It features a compact design, low procurement costs, and the highest level of functional integration, delivering exceptional video quality and ease of use. The innovative ViBE CP3000 product line includes the first DSNG encoder with an integrated broadcast satellite modulator, supporting DVB-S2X and DVB-CID standards, as well as acquisition that meets broadcast quality standards over the internet.
The ViBE CP3000 encoder supports all 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 8 or 10-bit sampling for standard definition and high definition, using MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC encoding methods. The encoder is fully firmware upgradable, providing a smooth and cost-effective upgrade path from MPEG-2 SD 4:2:0 8-bit to AVC HD 4:2:2 10-bit compression schemes, making it the most versatile acquisition encoder available. The 3G SDI input enables encoding of high-definition content with resolutions up to 1080p60.

Advantages of the ViBE CP3000 Product
Original video quality
With the functionality of AVC 4:2:2 10-bit encoding for 1080p60 content, it transmits detailed and vivid video, helping you deliver the highest quality video to your clients.
Lower capital expenditures and operating costs
The integrated modulators of the ViBE CP3200 and 3202 eliminate the need for customers to purchase expensive external standalone devices for satellite uplink. The second-generation DVB-S2X support on the ViBE CP3202 will provide enhanced performance for DSNG and contribution applications, and enable efficient migration to emerging technologies such as HEVC and Ultra HD.
Modulated Output
The onboard modulator on the ViBE CP3200 offers DVB-S/S2/DSNG transmission modes, while the ViBE CP3202 also supports DVB-S2X. Both the 3200 and 3202 provide QPSK, 8PSK, and 16APSK modulation capabilities. The 3200 supports IF or long waveband output, while the 3202 supports both IF and long waveband output within the same chassis. The modulation output can be directly fed into an upconverter, providing a very compact uplink package.
Internet-based collection
The ViBE CP3000 supports the transmission of broadcast-quality video over uncontrolled networks, significantly transforming the economic efficiency of collecting and distributing news and sports content from locations with internet access.
Content Protection
The ViBE CP3000 encoder prevents signal interception through industry-standard BISS mode 1 and BISS-E encryption. The ViBE CP3202 supports the new Carrier ID system (DVB-CID) currently being developed by the Satellite Interference Reduction Group (sIRG) and can also identify interfering carriers, responding to radio frequency interference (RFI) events, thereby improving service quality (QoS) and reducing operational costs.
End-to-End Data Collection Solution
The ViBE CP3000 encoder is the perfect complement to Hailey's ProView™ 7100 and 8100 integrated receiver decoders. By compressing AVC HD 4:2:2 10-bit video with the ViBE CP3000 and then decompressing it using the ProView 7100 at the same sampling and bitrate, you can achieve a capture workflow with virtually lossless video quality.
