LiveU, a global leader in live IP video capture, production, and distribution solutions, recently announced a new partnership with Kinetiq. Kinetiq is an AI-driven platform dedicated to transforming global media information into actionable insights and is also the developer of the Teletrax watermarking technology. Through this collaboration, Kinetiq will embed Teletrax watermarks into LiveU's cloud-native IP video distribution platform, LiveU Matrix, allowing broadcasters to add secure and durable watermarks to their live streams without the need for additional hardware.
LiveU MatrixAs a reliable and cost-effective IP video distribution platform, it enables users to exchange live video in the cloud with high quality and low latency, accessible through any browser. Broadcasters, sports organizations, and public safety departments can leverage LiveU Matrix for large-scale content distribution without the need for expensive dedicated infrastructure. Currently, LiveU Matrix has reached 150 countries and over 5,000 customers, saving up to 70% in costs compared to traditional satellite or fiber transmission methods. This integration further demonstrates the openness of the LiveU ecosystem and its seamless interoperability with other solutions.
Kinetiq's Teletrax watermarking technology adds an extra layer of intelligent analysis and security protection to live video streams. This technology embeds identification data into video content in a durable and unobtrusive manner, allowing users to accurately track the broadcast and streaming distribution of content worldwide. For nearly 25 years, Teletrax has provided scalable watermarking capabilities to news, sports, government, and entertainment organizations for verifying copyright usage, protecting content assets, and monitoring their performance across more than 6,000 broadcast and digital platforms.
Through the new integration, customers can directly insert Teletrax watermarks during the cloud content acquisition phase without the need for expensive on-premises hardware. The cloud-based approach not only reduces costs but also minimizes latency, making it easier for users to track and protect live content globally.
