PBI DCH-3000EC MPEG-2 Audio and Video Digital Compression Encoder

The PBI DCH-3000EC MPEG-2 audio and video digital compression encoder is a professional broadcast-grade real-time digital encoder that complies with the ISO/IEC13818 standard. It offers excellent cost-performance and can be widely used in areas such as the digital networking of cable television, digital television broadcasting, digital multiplex transmission of MPEG-2/DVB standard video programs, remote television monitoring, and network video applications. Its main function is to digitally sample and compress, encode analog video signals (RCA, Y/C, RGB, YUV, etc.) and analog audio signals, converting them into baseband digital transport stream (TS) output signals, providing a digital signal source for digital QAM modulators or channel multiplexers. The input analog video can be in PAL or NTSC format; the video compression bit rate (1–15 Mbps) can be adjusted according to the bandwidth of the transmission system. It features two formats for digital transport stream output: DVB-ASI serial and DVB-SPI (LVDS, EN50083-9) parallel, as well as a USB interface output, allowing stream signals to be sent to a computer for editing. With an LCD display and a 1.5U chassis structure, it can be installed in a standard 19" rack, making it an essential device for the digitalization of CATV front ends at cable stations.
