In 2014, Harri launched the latest PVR™ 8100 series integrated receiver - the first member of the decoder family, the PVR8100 single-channel commercial decoder and descrambler, which is a compact and fully functional new processing platform. With the PVR8100, users can receive DVB-S/S2, IP, or ASI signals, decode high-definition and standard-definition MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC transport streams at baseband, descramble encrypted programs, and output content to analog or digital television, perfectly integrating into Harri's all-IP front-end and solutions. Harri's exceptional video quality and low latency ensure timely content distribution, with decoding resolutions of up to 1080p50/60.

The efficiency of workflow is a key feature of the PVR8100. This device simultaneously provides HD-SDI and SD-SDI outputs for high-quality downconversion from HD to SD, enabling operators to complete both HD and SD production chains with simple equipment. The built-in frame rate conversion offers additional benefits, especially for multi-national program distributors, as it allows content shot at 50 Hz to be distributed at 60 Hz and vice versa. With this feature, operators no longer need to purchase a separate, standalone frame rate converter.

1- The RU PVR8100 supports a rich set of interfaces, including two or four independent RF selection interfaces, DVB-ASI, and IP input and output, as well as 3G HD-SDI and HDMI output interfaces. This I/O flexibility allows the unit to integrate with any front-end architecture, enabling advanced content delivery redundancy support solutions, such as primary satellite and backup IP network feeds. In addition to live broadcasting, the PVR8100 supports the extraction of packaged video content for offline distribution as Multi-Protocol Encapsulation (MPE) data - a feature particularly valuable for distributing integrated content to network branches.

The PVR8100 features an intuitive web-based interface and simple front panel controls that allow users to quickly set all system parameters and save them as presets for quick recall. Integrated with the Harley DMS ™ video distribution management system, it enables users to deploy and manage a large pool of widely distributed Vicon devices.
