Harley PWL4100S 1310nm Optical Transmitter

The PWL4100S from Harri is part of the PWRLink II series of 1310nm DFB laser transmitter modules. The PWRLink II transmitters are designed for advanced broadband networks, capable of being used independently in local distribution networks or combined with Harri's external modulation optical transmitter series to form a complete optical transmission network.

The PWL4100S optical transmitter features an extremely compact assembly. Within a 3U high HLP4200 platform, up to 10 modules can be inserted, which can be easily integrated into the HLP4200 platform using the HMC4001 module adapter. This optical transmitter is characterized by its intelligence and ease of setup, allowing installation and configuration to be completed in just a few minutes thanks to a user-friendly interface. The series of optical transmitters can be configured in three ways: via the menu prompts on the HLP4200WD front panel, through the RF settings on the front panel of the PWL transmitter, or using Harri's NETWatch™ network management system.

Due to its advanced pre-distortion circuitry, the PWL4100S optical transmitter offers extremely high performance and excellent distortion suppression, allowing users to achieve a high system carrier-to-noise ratio without overloading the optical receiver. With a microprocessor and firmware that monitor key functions, the optical transmitter ensures high performance and reliable operation. The monitored key functions include: laser temperature and operating current point, output optical power, and module temperature. The flat frequency response and wide operating temperature range of the optical transmitter can greatly optimize the performance of the entire broadband network.
