The Harrier Promedia 1200 application server supports Promedia Live and Promedia Package software products, which can be deployed separately or integrated into a seamless solution.
With a web-based GUI interface, the Promedia 1200 allows operators to perform all settings and operations without the need for backend commands. The GUI also supports user audit trail logging, device troubleshooting, and includes backup and recovery system capabilities, enabling quick system reset and business recovery in case of failure. The Promedia 1200 features automatic business monitoring and recovery functions to ensure fault-free operation and can be managed and controlled by the Harrier NMX network management system.
The Promedia 1200 can be configured for Apple® HTTP Live Streaming, Microsoft® Smooth Streaming, and Adobe® HTTP Dynamic Streaming; each device allows for the transmission of up to 6 services, with input support for this configuration reaching up to 18Mbps, H.264 High Profile, and 1920x1080i video content.
To provide advanced security protection, its operating system locks down when all unnecessary services are stopped, and it is equipped with antivirus software to prevent general users or unauthorized intruders from executing unauthorized software. Additionally, the system has enabled code signing functionality, and the activated firewall software is automatically configured to only open the ports necessary for service operation.
