The Ellipse®3000 collection encoder leverages Hailey's industry-leading compression technology expertise, with a flexible system architecture that delivers new broadcast-level video quality and operational efficiency contributions. Its versatility in multiple formats and codecs, low latency, and optional integration

The modulator makes this new compressed ideal platform suitable for Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) and fixed contributions. Its compact footprint and plug-and-play deployment offer additional benefits with lower ownership costs.

The ELP3000 encoder supports all HD and SD MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC codecs with 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 chroma subsampling, in 8-bit or 10-bit formats. With a comprehensive firmware upgrade, the encoder provides a smooth and cost-effective migration path from MPEG-2 SD 4:2:0 8-bit to AVC HD 4:2:2 10-bit compression schemes, making it one of the most versatile contribution encoders available. The re-multiplexing and cascading options allow the device to operate independently without the need for an external multiplexer or PSI generator.
