Spectrum XDesigned for mission-critical production and broadcast applications, Spectrum X combines file, baseband, and transport stream processing with integrated channel broadcast (ICP) capabilities, including graphics packaging, DVE, and online switching of baseband and compressed IP sources. Spectrum X reduces capital expenditures by minimizing the number of different devices required for production and distribution packaging, streamlining workflows, and lowering operational costs. The system's high density, low power consumption, and high reliability further reduce operational expenses and provide high availability.
The software-based Spectrum X supports a variety of SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats, including up to 4K UHD. It can operate as a true Channel in a Box (CIAB) or as part of the Spectrum shared storage architecture, encompassing everything from simple processing and broadcasting to rich ICP functionalities. All features are provided through software license keys, enabling an extremely flexible system that allows for the easy addition of new codec formats, CIAB functionalities, IP I/O, and other advanced features to the baseband I/O as needed.
Spectrum XFully compatible with Spectrum MediaDirector and MediaCenter servers, as well as the Harmonic Polaris™ broadcast system, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing broadcast infrastructures. By integrating SDI and IP I/O within the same chassis, Spectrum X also simplifies the transition to IP broadcast workflows, allowing broadcasters to move away from baseband at their own pace.
