The China Weather Channel has upgraded to HD! The AsiaSat 6 satellite at 120 degrees East has added the China Weather HD channel!

On September 6, 2024, a letter regarding the high-definition trial broadcast of "China Weather" and the cessation of the standard-definition channel was revealed.

 

The integrated encrypted broadcasting and transmission system for the paid channel "China Weather" on the Ding Shi platform will begin trial broadcasting at 00:00 on September 20, 2024. According to the approval from the General Administration, the trial period will last from 00:00 on September 20, 2024, to 00:00 on December 20, 2024. The simultaneous broadcasting period for both high and standard definition will be from 00:00 on September 20, 2024, to 24:00 on October 19, 2024. After the simultaneous broadcasting period ends, the standard definition channel will cease transmission. The program encoding for the "China Weather" HD channel will use the AVS+ standard, and the channel transmission will utilize the DVB-S2 standard.

On September 20, 2024, the Asia 6 satellite at 120 degrees East added a new China Weather HD channel, which is broadcast with a lock code. Reception parameters: Downlink frequency 3980, polarization mode horizontal, symbol rate 29500.
