Harley (NASDAQ: HLIT) recently announced the promotion of Alvaro Martin to General Sales Manager for Latin America. In this role, Martin will strengthen the leadership of the sales and pre-sales teams in the region and will be part of Harley's global sales leadership team.
"Alvaro has a deep understanding of the Latin American market, including the evolving technological demands of broadcasting, cable television, satellite television, and media companies in the region, as well as how Harley solutions can meet current and future customer needs," said George Stromeyer, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Harley. "Latin America is a key growth area for Harley, and we can fully leverage Martin's knowledge, experience, and strong customer relationships. Martin is a very successful sales team leader."
Martin joined Harley in April 2011 and led the company's sales teams in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. During his tenure, the company's business in these regions saw significant growth. Martin has over 20 years of sales experience, and prior to joining Harley, he held sales leadership roles at Cisco, Scientific Atlanta, and Lucent Technologies.
