AppearTV announces the launch of the industry's most advanced IP seamless switching technology.

AppearTV, a global leader in next-generation broadcast and IP television front-end solutions, has announced the launch of the industry's most advanced IP seamless switching technology. This new seamless switching, utilizing switches, monitors packet loss and switches between two independent ring multicast networks. This enhances the monitoring network while maintaining the integrity of the original data, as the two networks are independent and thus not subject to the same degradation, such as packet loss, at exactly the same time, thanks to the new "reconstruction" feature. Additionally, AppearTV's advanced "packet reconstruction" technology allows operators to reduce overhead for FEC while maintaining robust transmission QoS. This new technology addresses the challenges posed by FEC not effectively handling long bursts of errors in network news, particularly under good conditions.

Its primary purpose is within core IP networks, where most are fully redundant designs; it can also be deployed by cable, satellite, and terrestrial operators using IP-based distribution regional and edge network sites or IP backhaul services.
