Precautions
• Plan the upgrade time in advance, switch the signal to the non-upgrade line before the upgrade, and carefully check and confirm to avoid signal switching caused by reboots during the upgrade process, which may trigger actions in downstream devices;
• Disable the firewall on the PC used for upgrading the ProSwitch;
• Download the upgrade package PSW_02.13.01.620_GA.tar, do not change the file name; (please obtain it from official channels)
• During the upgrade process, the device will automatically restart. The restart process will initialize each switching relay to perform the switching action without manual intervention. The restart takes approximately 1 minute.
• The upgrade process takes approximately 6 minutes. Please ensure a stable network connection and normal power supply;
• A failed upgrade will not damage the device. If it is unsuccessful, please try again. If it continues to fail, please contact Harmonic.
• Check the current version number after the upgrade is complete;
• Conduct manual and automatic switching tests for the primary and backup signal sources to ensure proper operation after the upgrade.
