We have received your request regarding the establishment of a key laboratory under the National Radio and Television Administration at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Yue Guang Dian Ji [2023] No. 148). After review, we agree to establish the "National Radio and Television Administration Key Laboratory for Ultra-High Definition Technology Innovation and Application" at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
The "National Key Laboratory for UHD Technology Innovation and Application of the State Administration of Radio and Television" aims to focus on the ultra-high-definition (UHD) industry chain. It will carry out key foundational technological innovations and application demonstrations across the entire chain in areas such as content production, transmission and distribution, and terminal presentation. This initiative will provide crucial technical support for promoting the end-to-end upgrade of the UHD industry chain and advancing the research and development of original UHD technologies and their industrial applications.
Please strictly adhere to the provisions outlined in the "Notice on Issuing the 'Laboratory Management Measures of the National Radio and Television Administration'" (Guangdianfa [2023] No. 41) and the "Notice on Issuing the 'Laboratory Management Rules of the National Radio and Television Administration'" (Guangdianfa [2023] No. 42) to ensure proper supervision and management of laboratory-related work.
