The National Radio and Television Administration: The default setting for cable television terminal systems should be "start-up enters full-screen live broadcast."

On the 27th, the National Radio and Television Administration announced that it has recently issued a notification regarding three industry standards for broadcasting, television, and online audiovisual sectors, including the "Technical Requirements for Cable Television Services." The notification mandates that cable television terminals must provide two "startup mode" options: "enter full-screen live broadcast on startup" and "enter an interactive homepage highlighting the live broadcast channel on startup," with the system default setting being "enter full-screen live broadcast."

According to the relevant notification, the startup time for cable television smart set-top boxes should not exceed 35 seconds. Cable television operators must ensure that when providing live channels, time-shifted television, channel playback, video on demand, and other cable television services, the interface is simple and user-friendly, operations are convenient and quick, and program transmission is of high quality.

The relevant notification specifies that for internet television terminals accessing a bandwidth of no less than 100 Mbps, there are requirements for program playback response times. It states that the response time from clicking to play a video on demand until the first frame appears should be less than 2 seconds and no more than 3.5 seconds; the response time for operations such as pause/play, fast forward, and rewind should be less than 2 seconds and no more than 3.5 seconds; and the response time for exiting program playback and returning to the previous page should be less than 1 second.
