The world-leading test and measurement manufacturer, UK-based PHABRIX, will showcase its latest technology, the ultra-high-definition (UHDTV) Qx test instrument, at the BIRTV exhibition.
The Qx is designed for compliance testing and measurement of ultra-high-definition 4K and 8K formats. The PHABRIX Qx features unique real-time eye pattern measurements, including HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and 6G-SDI to 12G-SDI. It supports uncompressed video transmission over Gigabit Ethernet input/output for IP-based facilities in accordance with SMPTE ST 2022-6. The Qx also supports HDR, WCG, and HFR, and will provide advanced object-based audio formats as standards evolve.
In addition, PHABRIX showcased the latest versions of its handheld and rack-mounted testers. The Rx rack-mounted model continues to focus on providing quality control and testing toolkits for OB broadcast vehicles and the broadcast engineering field. With dual capabilities for video and audio testing and measurement, the Rx has established itself as a compelling integrated solution with high cost-effectiveness.
The PHABRIX SxE remains the most popular handheld test instrument in the broadcasting industry today. The SxE features unique eye pattern and jitter waveform display and measurement capabilities, making it a compact and portable device that integrates a 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SD-SDI multi-format video signal generator, waveform monitor, and analyzer functions.
The PHABRIX multi-interface TAG product offers a complete solution from analog to 3G-SDI, with support for fiber measurement through SFP slots. The latest software version supports monitoring of the HDMI EDIT editing window and HDMI generation functionality.
Gary Lewis, responsible for PHABRIX sales in the Asia-Pacific region, will attend this BIRTV and support Chinese distributors in sales within the Chinese market.
