Multi-channel Standard Definition H.264 Encoder Electra-5400 (ELC-5400)

The Electra-5400, produced by Harmonic in 2006, is the world's first 1-RU full-resolution multi-channel standard definition MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) encoder. A single Electra 5400 can provide up to 4 channels of standard definition H.264 encoding and 10 channels of stereo audio encoding. It also supports statistical multiplexing between programs (VBR encoding).

The Electra-5400 has no requirements for input signals; it can accept and encode any format (analog and SDI video, analog, digital, and SDI embedded audio). The output can simultaneously support both ASI and IP formats, meeting user needs in any application scenario.
