Expand the deployment of LiveU solutions to enhance real-time situational awareness for fire departments.

Recently, the Södra Älvsborgs Rescue Service Association (SÄRF) in Sweden has strengthened the deployment of LiveU's real-time video transmission solutions. Headquartered in Borås, the association provides rescue services to six surrounding cities, covering 25 fire and ambulance stations. This deployment primarily enhances real-time recording capabilities, achieving "real-time and automatic storage" of video transmission in situational awareness and training scenarios. This initiative significantly strengthens the association's decision-making, response, and preparedness capabilities in dealing with fires and accidents. The equipment, setup, and technical support are provided by Entercast, LiveU's long-term partner in Sweden.

SÄRFThe association has provided over 200 LU-Smart apps to rescue team members, with the most critical being the application installed on the personal phones of fire truck crew members. LiveU's compact LU300S field encoder is used in conjunction with DJI Mavic Pro drone operators to provide aerial views of major incident sites. The LiveU app and field encoder are used for real-time transmission, enabling real-time situational awareness, response management, and resource allocation, while the stored videos are used for post-incident reporting and analysis. The real-time footage is transmitted to the LU2000 server in the headquarters control room, displayed on a 70-inch screen. Simultaneously, data from the real-time server is transmitted to the team leaders as needed.

SÄRFFire Safety Manager Niklas stated, "People often say a picture is worth a thousand words! The core advantages of LiveU technology are reliability, encryption, and ease of use. We started using LiveU technology several years ago and have now introduced a complete solution: everyone on the team has the LU-Smart app. Firefighters can use the video application by simply clicking two buttons after unlocking their phones, making it easy for both technical and non-technical personnel. The fire truck phones equipped with this app are the most frequently used phones on-site. Combined with cloud services, videos are automatically recorded, allowing us to analyze key footage afterward and delete the recorded videos during the final report. Real-time video is transmitted instantly to the main control center, enabling operators to quickly decide whether more assistance and resources are needed."

"We have five employees who have obtained drone operator certification. In the event of major incidents such as industrial fires, they can operate drones equipped with LU300S. For example, during a recent fire at a local pizza restaurant, LiveU equipment and drones were used to verify that the building was unoccupied. In non-emergency situations, such as checking the roof safety of large factories and facilities under extreme weather conditions, we also utilize drones and LiveU solutions. LiveU has also become an important element in our team training and education."

EntercastThe company has also collaborated with partner companies to create a real-time content sharing platform integrated with LiveU solutions. The encrypted information received is forwarded from the LU2000 server to the Vindral platform, allowing team members to view live video through a secure, low-latency web player on any device via their browser.

LiveUChannel Sales Director Paul said, "We are very pleased that LiveU's flexible video solutions help emergency services respond faster and make the right tactical decisions to save more lives and reduce casualties. SÄRF has maximized the use of our mobile applications, LU300S, and drones. We are delighted that SÄRF has expanded its situational awareness capabilities across its entire jurisdiction through the deployment of LiveU, truly making it an innovator."
